NMT Austria became part of the NMT family in 2013. Based in Innsbruck, the company developed and manufactured ECG electrodes (SWAROMED®), neutral electrodes for electrosurgery (SWAROPLATE® and TWINSAFE®), and specialized electrodes for CDMO customers (BCM electrodes and defibrillation electrodes). The Innsbruck facility collaborated with several mid-sized European
OEMs and successfully competed against much larger European and Far-East market players. Products were distributed in 60 countries worldwide, including the Middle East, Far East, and Latin America.
AUSTRIA INSIGHTS
In 2019, electrode production was transferred from Innsbruck to a newly built, state-of-the-art facility at our sister company in Torbay, UK. Following this relocation, the Innsbruck team evolved into a specialized Competence Center, supporting European supply chain operations, sales, customer service, finance, regulatory compliance, engineering, and project management.
Our Austria team may be small, but they make a big impact. Each member brings unique skills and perspectives that help drive our success across Europe. From finance and regulatory compliance to customer service, planning, and engineering, this group tackles challenges with dedication and creativity.
